LEAGUE RULES
These rules are in place to ensure that everyone has a fair chance to compete and most importantly, have fun doing so! You will find that the rules here are slightly different from what most others follow. Here at the Rocket League we don't believe in rules that limit a trainer from battling to the very best of his or her ability. However, the rules we do have we expect every trainer to follow. Neglecting these rules could get you banned!

CHALLENGERS
9) Each challenger will have 4 core Pokemon registered on their Trainer Card and 2 open slots that can be changed at will throughout the League. Any person is allowed to swap out their Pokemon with another of the same Pokedex number. This allows people to try out multiple builds.
10) Once you have registered your four core Pokemon you cannot change them unless you wish to relinquish your badges and start the league over OR have already beaten the League and want to start over. Anyone who beats the league will receive a ribbon on their Trainer Card as proof that they won.
11) A challenger may only battle with each Gym Leader once a day. If the trainer looses then he or she must wait until the next day to re-challenge that gym.
12) Once a Challenger has acquired all badges then he or she is qualified to challenge the Elite Four.
13) When challenging the Elite Four, the Challenger must register his two free slots so that he or she will use the same 6 Pokemon for all four of the Elite Four members.
14) Once a Challenger has beaten the Elite Four they may challenge any Gym Leader for the title of that gym. A Gym Leader can be challenged for his position by Gold Tier trainers during the first week of every month. The Gym Leader being challenged will set the rules for the battle.
15) When challenging the Gym Leader for his position, the Challenger must use a team that will qualify as the new gym team. This must be a best 2 out of 3 fight.

GYM LEADERS
16) A Gym Leaders team must consist of only Pokemon that share a type with the gym. The only exception is one trump card which includes any Legendary Pokemon (even the banned list) whose type is the same as their gym OR any other non-Legendary Pokemon to balance their team out. Arceus is the only exception and not allowed on a gym team.
17) To be a qualified gym team, each Pokemon must share the same type as the gym as read from the Pokedex. For example, the Flying Gym is allowed to Mega-Evolve Charizard into Mega-Charizard X because it is initially a Fire/Flying. However, the Dragon Gym is not allowed to use Mega-Charizard X since it is originally a Fire/Flying. This same concept goes for Pokemon that change their type like Porygon which is Normal type and can only be used by the Normal Gym.
